Who Is Our Cancer Support Group in Vaughan For?

This group is designed for adults ages 18+ whose lives have been impacted by cancer, including individuals who have recently received a diagnosis, are currently undergoing treatment, are adjusting to life during or after treatment, or are living with the longer-term emotional effects of cancer.

The group is also open to caregivers, family members, and loved ones supporting someone through cancer, providing a space to process their own emotions, challenges, and experiences alongside others who understand.

Dates: Wednesdays, October 7, 14, 21 & 28 and November 4 & 11, 2026
Time: 8:00–9:30 p.m.
Location: In-person at STAR Holistic Services
Cost: $65 per session ($390 total)
Maximum Participants: 10
Minimum Participants: 5
Registration Deadline: September 30

Meet The Facilitator

Andrina Batris

MSW, Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist

Andrina is committed to creating a supportive space where clients can slow things down, make sense of difficult emotions, and work through experiences without feeling judged or pressured to open up before they are ready.
Much of Andrina’s work focuses on grief, loss, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. She helps clients explore the patterns that can shape their relationships, better understand emotional reactions, strengthen communication, establish healthier boundaries, and reconnect with themselves during difficult periods of change.
Her approach is paced and intentional, with a focus on helping clients feel more grounded, confident, and in control as they move forward.
